The Melba McKenzie Scholarship

The South Carolina Consortium for Gifted Education has established a scholarship in Melba McKenzie’s memory. Melba was the coordinator/teacher for gifted students in Hampton 2 (Estill) and a vocal advocate for gifted education. The scholarship provides up to $750 for a gifted student, currently in grades 6-8, to attend a summer program for academically gifted students.
