School District Memberships

The SCCGE Board of Directors voted to waive school district membership fees for 2009-2010, enabling all districts to receive membership benefits, including newsletters and professional development videos without cost. Districts do not have to fill out any paperwork for membership this year.

Gifted and Talented Coordinators will receive these materials as they are produced. Video topics will include:

- Meeting the Gifted Program Standards
- William and Mary Language Arts and Science Curriculum
- Providing for the Gifted Through the S.C. Fine Arts Standards
- Differentiating Instruction for Gifted and Talented Students
- Serving Gifted Students Living in Poverty
- Teacher Observation in the Gifted Classroom
- Ten Things All Administrators of Gifted Programs Must Do.

The South Carolina Consortium for Gifted Education is eager to help districts provide appropriate educational experiences for advanced students. We look forward to seeing you at our annual conference in 2010.

SCCGE is offering a “BOGO” special this year for interested individuals or organizations. The usual membership fee will purchase membership for 2009-2010 AND 2010-2011! What a deal!
